International Shipping Costs
So this is a tough blog to write and not because it's late on a Saturday night, it's because I want to be completely transparent about the costs of international shipping rates and why the prices are the way they are.
I know a lot of you are probably thinking "Yeah, I would love a candle but I can't justify A$49.95 (approx. €30/£25/$35USD) in shipping costs" and/or "Who does she think she is charging A$49.95 to get a candle to Ireland/America/UK" and yeah, I probably would agree with you, if I was you.
By starting this business, I have done a lot of research into different shipping companies, different candle companies in Australia and how much they charge and most importantly, putting myself in your (the customer) shoes.
Looking at Australia Post (the national postal service) they are charging A$66.90 for a parcel of up to 2kg to be delivered to Ireland, UPS is charging A$191 (yes, that's correct!) and other companies are charging anywhere between A$60-A$90. So, I am here being completely transparent and letting you know that I honestly don't gain a single cent from when I ship to Ireland/Uk/America. I want to give you the prices exactly what they give me.
As a small business owner, unfortunately right now I can't afford to lower my costs but hopefully in the future I will be able to offer you a better price.
If you have any questions about it, feel free to reach out and email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
